PhoneValet Message Center 4.0 Records and Archives All Calls, Works with Intel Macs

PhoneValet Message Center 4.0 now records all calls for easy, permanent archiving to removable media with full indexing of archived calls. Universal binary support included

OTTAWA, ON, March 17, 2006 - Parliant Corp. is now shipping a major new release of PhoneValet Message Center. Now priced at $169.95, PhoneValet Message Center 4.0 is Parliant's multi-award-winning Mac telephony product for small businesses, homes, and home offices.

Adding to an already rich feature set that includes unlimited voice mail boxes, call blocking, logging and screening, automated dialing and Interactive Voice Response (IVR) capabilities, PhoneValet 4.0 now records all inbound and outbound calls and stores them in a database for easy search and retrieval. The release also adds powerful archiving of all those recordings to CD or DVD to share with clients or to help manage hard drive space.

"With the addition of all-call recording and powerful archiving tools, smaller enterprises using PhoneValet 4.0 now have the sophisticated call management resources taken for granted in much larger organizations," said Parliant President Kevin Ford. "You can email an archived phone call or set of calls to others as a record of decisions taken and statements made."

Boxes full of cassettes are a thing of the past as PhoneValet 4.0 makes it easy to manage large volumes of call recordings. Using powerful reporting tools you can find a subset of calls according to your own criteria, then move or copy the selected call recordings to CDs and DVDs without losing track of them in the searchable call log that remains on the computer. PhoneValet 4.0 will even prompt you for a disc by name when you want to listen to an archived call.

Each CD and DVD created by PhoneValet 4.0 has an index of the contained calls and recordings. Viewable with any Web browser on any platform, the index makes each disc a professional and presentable record of calls that can be delivered directly to clients or stakeholders.

PhoneValet 4.0 also offers superior voice recording capability. "Reporters, radio broadcasters and podcasters have all embraced PhoneValet because of the quality of our conversation recordings," said Ford. "This is due to Automatic Gain Control in our custom built hardware, which dynamically adjusts the recording levels to ensure the best possible voice recordings on both ends of the call."

PhoneValet Message Center 4.0 supports Apple's new Universal Binary format and is fully compatible with Intel-based Macs. PhoneValet 4.0 retails at $169.95 per line for new users, including software and Parliant's USB telephone adapter, and is available from Parliant's Web site at As with all Parliant products, PhoneValet 4.0 comes with a 30-day money-back customer satisfaction guarantee. The release is available as a free upgrade to licensed users of PhoneValet 3. Users of PhoneValet 2 can upgrade for $29.95 per line.
